V18014FS flat snap-on ferrite core is a split NiZn ferrite ring made from VN09 grade material. Developed exclusively for flat ribbon cables, this component achieves minimum impedance values of 20Ω at 25MHz and 55Ω at 100MHz to efficiently attenuate high-frequency EMI noise. Its slim split design allows simple clamping onto pre-assembled flat cables with no wire cutting required. Compliant with RoHS and REACH regulations, it offers consistent noise reduction and supports end electronic devices to meet EMC compliance requirements.
It is suitable for flat ribbon cables and flat signal wires found in consumer electronics, smart home equipment, industrial control panels, monitoring hardware and small medical instruments. It is well-suited for internal wiring inside compact electronic products with constrained installation space.
Primarily used to suppress conducted and radiated high-frequency EMI noise on flat cables, minimize signal distortion induced by electromagnetic interference, and help finished products successfully pass EMC certification tests.
Q1: Why does the snap-on ferrite core adopt a split clip design?
A: The split clip structure enables quick retrofitting on pre-terminated cables. There is no need to disconnect or rewire existing lines, which greatly reduces installation labor and saves production time.
Q2: Will thicker cables need ferrite cores with larger inner dimensions?
A: Yes. The inner opening of the ferrite core must match the cable thickness. If the core is too loose, contact will be poor and the noise suppression effect will be weakened.
Q3: Can multiple cables pass through a single snap-on ferrite core together?
A: It is not recommended in most EMI suppression scenarios. Running multiple wires through one core may cause cross-interference and lower the filtering performance of the ferrite ring.
Q4: What may lead to unstable impedance performance of ferrite cores?
A: Material inconsistency, physical cracks, dimensional deviation and extreme operating temperatures can alter the permeability, resulting in unstable impedance and degraded noise filtering.
Q5: Is sample service available for this flat snap-on ferrite core? A: Yes, we provide sample testing service for customers. You may request samples to verify size, impedance and EMI suppression performance before bulk order placement.
